The exhibition Traversée by Catherine Plaisance was presented at Plein sud from November 29, 2014 to February 7, 2015. The text “Fabricating Events” (translated form French by Donald McGrath) presents a review of the production of Catherine Plaisance by Vincent Lavoie, professor in the Department of Art History of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Vincent Lavoie is the author of numerous publications, including Photojournalismes : Revoir les canons de l’image de presse, published by Éditions Hazan (Paris, 2010), and a thematic issue of the CV Ciel variable magazine under the title “Forensic / Forensics” (no. 93, winter 2013) on the intersections of art and crime detection.
