Art Soleil Camp – A Summer Camp Specializing in Visual Arts

Art Soleil invites children to immerse themselves in the world of visual arts through a two-week creative and expressive experience. Participants explore a wide range of techniques, including drawing, painting, photography, installation, video, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and more.

Designed specifically for the summer period, Art Soleil offers a rich and stimulating program that combines cultural discovery, educational activities, and summer fun. Exhibition visits, workshops led by professional artists, swimming, outdoor games, and nature walks all contribute to a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere where each child can thrive.

Registration

A pre-registration period for the 2026 edition—reserved for returning campers—will run from February 1 to March 6, 2026. General registration will be open from March 7 to June 15, 2026. Once the camp is full, families may add their child to a waiting list.

Art Soleil’s creative workshops allow children to explore a wide variety of artistic techniques, from simple to advanced, in a caring and inspiring environment. Each edition features a unique theme that guides the full range of proposed activities.

The program also includes museum visits and cultural outings to foster imagination and curiosity. Some workshops are led by professional artists, giving children unique insight into contemporary creation.

To conclude the camp, an exhibition of the artworks produced is held in Plein sud’s gallery (Room D0626, inside Cégep Édouard-Montpetit). Families and friends are invited to a festive opening celebrating the young artists’ creativity and talent.

Art Soleil takes place in the bright and welcoming facilities of the Early Childhood Education department at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit (180, rue De Gentilly Est, Longueuil).

Camp Dates – Summer 2026

Three two-week sessions are offered:

  • Camp 1: June 29 – July 10, 2026
  • Camp 2: July 13 – July 24, 2026
  • Camp 3: July 27 – August 7, 2026
Remarques
  • July 1 is a regular camp day.
  • Each child may register for only one camp session.
  • One-week registrations are not available.

Additional Information

  • A Relevé 24 (RL-24) tax slip will be provided for children enrolled in daycare.
  • Fees include:
    • All materials required for activities
    • Admission fees and transportation for outings
    • Taxes
    • Daycare service (if selected)

What to Bring

Each child must bring lunch, two snacks, and an apron.

Registration

To register your child, please fill out the online registration form and make the payment by Interac e-transfer, cheque, or credit card. Cheques must be made payable to Plein sud and sent to the following address:

Payment must be received no later than three weeks before the start of the camp your child is registered for:
• June 5, 2026 for Camp 1
• June 19, 2026 for Camp 2
• July 3, 2026 for Camp 3

Payment Methods

Interac e-transfer (recommended)

Fast and free, this method is preferred.

Steps to follow:

  • Log in to your online banking.
  • Select “Interac e-transfer”.
  • Add Plein sud as a recipient at the following email address: plein sud@plein-sud.org
  • Enter the payment amount and a brief message with your child’s name and camp number (Camp 1, 2, or 3).
  • Security question: Camp name
  • Answer: soleil

Cheque

Send to the address of Plein sud (see above), no later than three weeks before the start of the selected camp. Write the child’s name and the camp period on the back of the cheque.

Credit card

Accepted in person at Plein sud or by phone at (450) 679-2966, by appointment only.

Plein sud is located inside Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, room D0626.

Before Camp

Registration may be canceled without fees or penalties as long as the camp has not started. All amounts paid will be fully refunded.

Please note: Art Soleil is a small, highly sought-after camp with limited spaces. Out of respect for waiting families, we kindly ask that you notify us of any cancellations as early as possible so other children may benefit from this opportunity.

During Camp

It is possible to cancel mid-session.

In that case:

  • Fees for days already attended will be charged.
  • A penalty will apply: the lesser of $50 or 10% of the cost of the remaining days.

Cancellation Procedure

All cancellations must be submitted to Plein sud in writing by email or phone. The cancellation date is the date on which the notice is received.
