Bringing together abstract drawings and video performances, the exhibition is articulated around formal research and conceptual choreographies that evoke the interweaving of affective and somatic memories. Through her artistic practice, Florencia Sosa Rey envisions the body as a living archive, revealing the intangible strata of her personal and family history. Carried by a poetic breath, her works remind us that the trajectories of lived experience shape our experiences and our singular modalities of being in the world. The impermanence of things, vulnerability, voluptuousness, gender fluidity, intergenerational bonds and diasporic experiences are all themes that emerge within the presented corpus.

From the presence of gesture to the exploration of spatiality, various plastic correspondences are woven between the drawn works and those of a performative nature. The use of abstraction extends the semantic horizon of the graphic propositions while focusing on their aesthetic reception. Behind what resembles weightless drapery, the universe of the intimate subtly emerges. The amorphous forms with soft contours suggest both physical absence and carnal presence. The video performances, for their part, anchor the movements of bodies in landscapes. They highlight the fluctuation of relationships with others and the evolution of the sense of belonging, to a place as well as to a community.
